Alumni Events

Professional development events

You can participate in seminars/training workshops which can enhance your professional knowledge and soft skills. Each event is an interactive forum where you can share ideas and experiences and your professional networks. These events are generally organised on the initiative of the Alumni Core Groups in Hanoi, HCM City, Hue or Da Nang with the support of the Australia Awards and are open to all alumni.

Social networking activities

Enjoy alumni social activities where you can resume old friendships from Australian university days and make new social and professional contacts. These activities also help the reintegration of newly returned alumni back into Vietnamese society.

There are broadly two kinds of alumni social activities.

  • Social activities organised and funded (wholly or partly) by the Australia Awards Alumni Network Program, sometimes in conjunction with the Australian Embassy or Consulate-General.
  • Social activities organised independently by alumni and can include morning coffee discussion groups, network drinks, sports events, BBQs and charity activities. We strongly encourage these independent activities.
