Green Growth Seminar spotlights alumni’s passion for the environment

Green Growth is “growth that emphasizes environmentally sustainable economic progress to foster low-carbon, socially inclusive development” (ESCAP).

The seminar “Green Growth and Energy Efficiency, from Home to Office”, organized by the Australia Awards Alumni Network for alumni in Hanoi on 11 October 2014, according to participants’ feedback, was a successful platform for discussions on Green Growth and the environment.

New Round of Alumni Small Grants Opens

A new round of the Alumni Small Grant Scheme has opened and will close on 31 October 2014.

This follows a comprehensive review of the Scheme which has resulted in substantially revised Guidelines.

Australia Awards events prove to be a success for both awardees and alumni

A string of events for Australia Awards awardees and alumni took place in late July and the first week of August, most notably University Information Day, the Research Design workshop and the Research Journal Article Writing workshop.



Scholarships Approved

At its meeting on 18 July 2014, the Joint Selection Committee, comprising representatives of the Australian Embassy and the Ministry of Education and Training offered 185 conditional Australia Awards scholarships to applicants in the 2014 round/ 2015 intake. Another 26 applicants were approved for conditional scholarships on the reserve list.
