Capitalizing on the success of similar workshops in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City over the last two years, Aus4Skills organized a Training Workshop on Research Design on 6 May 2017 at Thai Nguyen University. This is the first time this workshop has been organized in the northern mountainous region of Vietnam.

After attending a 10-week training course at Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia Awards Fellows from the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) hoped that with the knowledge they gained, they could contribute to changing the mindset and actions of Vietnamese women and girls facing domestic violence and violence in society more generally.

The colleges should also be active in studying the market and developing ties with businesses,” Dr Nguyen Hong Minh, Director General of the General Directorate of Vocational Training, said in his speech at a two-day workshop held in Ho Chi Minh City.

Australian Ambassador H.E. Mr Craig Chittick hosted over sixty Australia Awards and Endeavour alumni, who recently returned to Vietnam upon completing their post-graduate studies in Australia, at a ceremony in Hanoi on 11 May 2017. Their supervisors were also invited to the ceremony.
