Applicant groups and eligibility criteria
To be eligible you must belong to one of the following Applicant Groups and meet the respective requirements.

* IELTS, TOEFL iBT or PTE Academic certificates will be valid if the tests have been on or after 1 January 2021. Valid certificates must be submitted with the online application by 29 April 2022 and will not be accepted if submitted after that date.
Masters by Research Applicants must belong to one of two below groups:
- Tertiary-level lecturer working at a university, academy or college
- Researcher working at a university, research institute or research centre
Masters by Research Applications under other applicant groups will be made ineligible.
Disadvantaged Applicants
Special provisions apply for the following disadvantaged applicants from all indicated – above groups:
- persons with disability
- disadvantaged rural applicants, (for details, refer to Equity of Access Applicants).
