Safeguarding and Compliance
Australia Awards has a zero-tolerance approach to sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment (SEAH) and child exploitation and abuse. As the program managing the Australia Awards in Vietnam, Aus4Skills is strongly committed to ensuring the prevention of SEAH and to ensuring child protection in all our activities and the wider environment.
All Australia Awards Scholarships awardees are expected to fully comply with DFAT’s Preventing Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH) Policy and DFAT’s Child Protection Policy.
This means all awardees are required to immediately report any concerns, allegations or suspicions of SEAH, child exploitation and abuse, or PSEAH and Child Protection policies non-compliance. Reports can be made by people directly impacted or others who observe or know of occurrences of SEAH and child exploitation and abuse. If in doubt, suspected or alleged incidents should be reported. All reports are taken seriously.
